A magic potion for postpartum recovery?

What if I told you there was a πŸͺ„magic potion you could blend together during pregnancy that would improve your pregnancy AND your postpartum recovery?

A potion that could improve mental health, decrease risk of developing prenatal complications like gestational high blood pressure and diabetes, and reduce pregnancy related fatigue...

A potion that could lessen the amount of time you're in labor, decrease the risk of cesarean birth, and improve your baby's immediate health Earth-side AND benefit them later in life too...

Now it wouldn't be a potion without a few ingredients. These ingredients are:
- Strength training
- Cardio activity
- Eating enough protein

I'm sorry to say that this potion is not something you can actually drink (maybe a protein shake?)... but combining these "ingredients" during your pregnancy is a powerful way to promote health throughout your journey and leads to a better postpartum recovery (for most).

Life can feel really busy during pregnancy (all the time) - maybe you work full time, have other kids, have other commitments, preparing for birth - but even starting small and doing a little bit of movement, increasing portion sizes of proteins, adding a little pelvic floor in, getting in a short walk...can have huge benefits for you and baby.

I would love to hear from you! What kind of movement do you like to do? Have you been exercising during pregnancy? What have you found most challenging about exercise during pregnancy?
