2026 is arriving this week! It will be an exciting year for many people...
New babies coming. New workplaces. New exercise routines. New commitments to yourself and your health. New adventures.
I know this email is focused on women's health - but I think setting goals and planning for 2026 is an important part of your health. Health is often thought of as something physical, but health truly encompasses emotional, spiritual, and social well being too. Goal setting can help us focus in on the areas of our health where we need to improve. I'm not into "new year new you" - but instead using the turn of the year to take stock of your life.
With that in mind, grab a pen and paper. Here is the 2026 goal setting I share with my clients. Give yourself 10-15 minutes to sit and think about these questions.
- Write 1-3 words that describe how you want 2026 to FEEL.
- Your north star: pick a few words or a phrase that will guide you this year.
- What do you want to add to your life in 2026 to bring more happiness, joy, and positivity?
- What will you say NO to in 2026 to remove negativity and negative external pressures from your life?
- Who do you want to be this year? Describe your ideal 2026 self. Move beyond the physical here.
- What are 1-3 exciting events that you are attending in 2026?
- What are 1-3 BIG GOALS you have for 2026? Big is relative here. These can be your moonshot goals.
- What is one measurable action per goal, that will move you towards that goal?
- Take 5-10 minutes, write, draw, doodle, put some quotes - around what you want to do in 2026, who you want to be, how you want to feel, etc.
I hope these questions help you light a fire for 2026!
